Komon Lab

Privacy

What we know about you (almost nothing).

Last updated May 2026.

The short version

Komon Lab does not collect personal information, does not run advertising trackers, and does not use cookies for identification. Your measurements never leave your browser.

What we don’t collect

  • Email addresses. There is no newsletter and no sign-up form.
  • Names, profiles, or accounts. There is no account system.
  • Your body measurements. They are kept in your browser’s memory only.
  • IP addresses tied to behaviour. Analytics aggregates pageviews without identifying you.

How the pattern tool handles your measurements

The pattern generator runs entirely in your browser. When you click Generate PDF, the calculation library and pdf-lib build the document on your device. The PDF is then handed to your browser as a download. No measurement value, no derived dimension, no generated PDF, and no fragment of either is sent to a Komon Lab server, because no Komon Lab server is involved in the calculation. The site is statically hosted; the static host sees only standard request logs.

Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-friendly, cookieless web analytics tool. Umami records aggregate pageviews — what page was viewed, a coarse country, the referring site — without storing cookies or personal identifiers. Per the Umami project, it does not use fingerprinting and the site is compliant with GDPR and similar regulations. If your browser sends a Do Not Track header, our integration honours it.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare keeps standard access logs (IP, timestamp, requested URL) for security and abuse-prevention purposes, per their privacy policy. We do not access these logs for analytics.

What we will tell you if anything changes

If Komon Lab ever adds something that touches your data — for example, an opt-in newsletter, or affiliate links on the guides — that change will be announced on this page and the “Last updated” date at the top will reflect it. There will never be surprise tracking added quietly.

Contact

A public contact channel is being decided. Until then, hold onto privacy questions and they will be answered as soon as one is open.
