Some of the links on Komon Lab — particularly in our guides and tool pages — are affiliate links. When you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. That commission helps keep this site free, with no email walls, no paywalls, and no ads on the pattern generator itself.

Where you'll see affiliate links

• Guides: When we recommend a specific tool, fabric, or book in a guide, the link to where you can buy it is usually an affiliate link. We disclose this in the guide header as well.
• Pattern generator: We do not place affiliate links inside the generator interface itself. We may link to recommended materials in the post-download section, separately marked.
• Sidebars and contextual recommendations: Where we mention a product, the link is affiliate unless explicitly marked otherwise.

Programs we participate in

Komon Lab participates in the following affiliate programs. Specific program memberships may change as we apply, are approved, or remove a partner that no longer fits our standards:

• Amazon Associates Program (US, UK, JP marketplaces). As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Active store ID: komonlab-20 (Amazon.com / US marketplace). Additional marketplace store IDs will be added to this disclosure as the corresponding programs are activated.
• Etsy Affiliate Program (via Rakuten Advertising). For traditional and artisan-made materials.
• Bookshop.org Affiliate Program. For books, supporting independent bookstores.

If we add or remove a program, we update this page within 30 days.

What we do not do

• We do not recommend products we have not personally evaluated or that do not meet our standards for the topic at hand.
• We do not let affiliate commission decide what appears in a guide. The editorial pick comes first; the link is added only after the recommendation is made on its own merits.
• We do not use scraped, AI-generated, or copy-pasted product reviews. Every recommendation is written by hand, with first-person reasoning.
• We do not share any personal information you give us (none of which is required to use the pattern generator) with any affiliate program. See our Privacy Policy.

This disclosure is published in accordance with:

• United States: Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) requiring clear and conspicuous disclosure of material connections.
• European Union / United Kingdom: Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (UCPD) and equivalent national consumer protection laws requiring disclosure of commercial intent.

How to support without affiliate links

You can support Komon Lab without buying through our links by:

• Sharing a guide or the generator with someone learning to sew
• Linking to a guide from your own site or community
• Sending us corrections, additions, or photographs of your finished work
